Certified Corporate Professional Leader
Lead Hands / Team Leaders / Foremen

If your role is to lead a team of people who do not directly report to you, who are hired by another department or report to your supervisor, manager, director or VP, then this Certified Corporate Professional Leader Designation is for you.

This program is specifically designed for those promoted or hired into a Lead-Hand role, giving them the skills necessary to lead without authority.

Prove your knowledge. Further your profession. Earn your Designation.

The Lead Hand Designation is focused on a person’s professional development by making the transition to leadership, understanding roles and responsibilities, planning and prioritizing, developing leadership and communication skills, handling problems, and the basics of motivation and delegation.

A Lead Hand has a unique challenge in their role. They have to lead a team of people without having direct authority to reprimand, provide incentives, etc. For this reason, the program focuses on skills that allow them to conduct their daily functions through the understanding of how people react differently in similar situations. Lead Hands learn to communicate based on their own personality and understanding the personality of others.

They learn to lead through difficult situations and how generation gaps can impact or improve productivity on the floor.  Each one of these leaders has a common CORE set of skills - our program is built on this core, something which we have mastered throughout our decades of training, feedback and course design.

The CCPL-LH program is designed to target core competencies, some of which are listed below. Think Business Training has put together a series of workshops and online classes to help you reach these competencies with confidence.

Three Ways to Earn Your Designation

On-Line Learning (OLL)

We have designed a program for on-line learning that is a standardized curriculum designed from our workshops and is equivalent to 12 days of training. Once you have completed the program, you apply for your designation exam.

Classroom Workshops

This option allows you the flexibility in the workshops that you choose to attend.  While you are required to attend two 2-day workshops and one 1-day workshop, you can choose from a variety of workshops to complete the additional 8 days based on the skills you need to develop. Workshops are held at our training facility in Halifax NS, and typically run from 9:00 – 4:30.

Blended Learning

We have found that some people like a little of both.  They value the learning that happens in the classroom with a facilitator and other participants, but can’t dedicate the time away from their office to complete their designation.  Blended learning allows for both classroom and OLL.
